Gogol Acoustic Bordello features five of the seven original members of Gogol Bordello.  Drawing inspiration from gypsy, cabaret and punk traditions, Gogol Bordello’s earliest performances and recordings were largely acoustic affairs before the lineup grew to its current eight- member configuration. Gogol Bordello recently rekindled their acoustic origins while recording their 2010 studio album Trans-Continental Hustle.

Gogol Acoustic Bordello has taken advantage of a few choice opportunities including a main stage appearance at the legendary Newport Folk Festival, a headlining slot at the Apple Farm Festival and, most recently, a surprise opening set for their friend Manu Chao at Terminal 5 in New York City.
