This four-piece Danish rock band cite Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash as inspirations behind their fusion of rock ‘n’ roll, heavy metal and rockabilly. Originally a death metal band lead singer Michael Poulsen, fed up of the death metal scene, went on to form Volbeat. They are praised for their live performances and have toured all across Europe as well as making appearances at various festivals. They've also got Metallica and Megadeth support slots under their belt and most recently embarked on a North American tour in late 2009 as support to Metallica.
