This is a guide to the local public transport links, hotels and car parks. Please pay special attention to the neighbourhood policy of O2 Academy Birmingham.

O2 Academy Birmingham is at the site of the former Dome Nightclub, with excellent public transport links and is within close proximity of the Bullring and Arcadian.

Pedestrians:

A pedestrian link is via a subway at Holloway Circus roundabout (known locally as Chinese Pagoda Island). There are two entry/exit points. One is via the top of Smallbrook Queensway (on the opposite side of the Radisson Hotel by the takeaway food outlets) and the other at Holloway Head (by Clydesdale and Cleveland Towers).  

Buses:

The following buses stop within a short walking distance from O2 Academy Birmingham on either Bristol Street or Smallbrook Queensway: 44, 61, 62, 63, 64, 66, 66A, 82, 87, 144 & 146

Bus numbers 61, 62 & 63 towards Birmingham City Centre stop directly outside O2 Academy Birmingham.

All buses into the City Centre stop within walking distance of O2 Academy Birmingham.

Metro:

Midland Metro trams run frequently between Wolverhampton and Birmingham 7 days a week.

National Express Coach Station:

All coach services into Birmingham City Centre stop at Digbeth Coach Station which is a 10 minute walk to O2 Academy Birmingham.

Taxis:

There is a taxi rank immediately outside O2 Academy Birmingham within the bus lane which is in operation from 9pm until 6am.

Blue Arrow Cars (0121 688 7777) is the nearest taxi office to O2 Academy Birmingham (24hr) and is located on the opposite side of the road on Bristol Street.

Car Parking:

If you are travelling by car, parking in the streets surrounding O2 Academy Birmingham is limited but there are numerous car parks in easy walking distance.
Please plan your journey accordingly.

• To purchase tickets in person, O2 Academy Birmingham Box Office is open for cash ticket sales between noon and 4pm, Monday to Friday, and between 11am and 4pm on a Saturday (No booking fee charged on cash transactions). Public holidays may vary – please see www.facebook.co.uk/o2academybirmingham for announcements.

Disabled Access Bookings:

Please contact the Box Office Manager on steph@o2academybirmingham.co.uk before purchasing your tickets. Tickets purchased without contacting the venue first are not guaranteed space in the disabled access area.

Hotel Ibis         Irving Street, B1 1DH. Turn right on exit out of the venue walking South, then first right.
